Privacy Policy

Editable MIDI Workbench processes the audio you choose to upload so it can create an editable MIDI draft. We do not require an account. Optional Microsoft Clarity analytics is off until you choose to enable it.
Optional analytics
With your permission, we use Microsoft Clarity for masked session replay and click/scroll heatmaps to understand usability and improve this tool. Microsoft may process interaction and device/browser information and use analytics cookies. Advertising storage consent is denied. We do not pass audio files, email addresses or payment identifiers as custom analytics events. The editor content is explicitly masked, and Clarity is not loaded on visits with URL parameters (including payment receipts), or when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled. Clarity is not enabled on our legal pages.
Analytics is optional and intended only for visitors aged 18 or older. Use the analytics controls at the bottom of the homepage to enable or turn it off. Your choice is stored on this device for up to 180 days. Turning it off reloads the page to stop collection; your local note draft is retained, but the original audio must be selected again. Microsoft processes data under its Privacy Statement. Masking does not mean all technical data is anonymous.
Data we process
- Your uploaded audio and the note data derived from it.
- Technical request information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address and basic server logs.
- Checkout and payment status identifiers when you choose to purchase an export.
How data is used and retained
Uploaded audio is used only to run the requested transcription. It is written to a temporary file during processing and deleted immediately afterward. Paid downloads are accessible for seven days. Expiration disables download access; it does not automatically delete the saved note data or payment records. Contact support to request deletion, subject to records needed for payment disputes or legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Payments and service providers
Payments are processed by Creem as merchant of record. Creem receives the information needed to complete checkout and applies its own privacy policy. Hosting providers may process limited technical data to deliver the service.
Your choices
The editor saves one note draft on this device using local storage, including the file name and editing settings, but not the original audio or payment entitlements. Use “Clear saved draft & stop saving” in the editor to remove it and disable saving for the current session. Clearing browser site data also removes it. Anyone using this browser profile may be able to restore the draft.
You can avoid sending audio by not uploading a file. For privacy questions or deletion requests concerning a paid export, email us with the relevant checkout details at leeshaowei3@gmail.com.
